Frankenstein’s Mad Scientist Cocktail Lab is coming to Washington DC for select nights from September 24 through October 31, 2026. The 21+ pop-up takes place inside Puttery at 800 F Street NW, about a block from Capital One Arena.
This is a ticketed 90-minute experience, not a regular bar reservation. General admission includes open seating and one interactive cocktail. Bucket Listers also advertises a mocktail option, while additional drinks and private tarot readings cost extra.
Frankenstein’s Cocktail Lab DC: Quick facts
What happens inside the mad-scientist cocktail lab?
The pop-up turns part of the bar into a Halloween laboratory with glassware, potions, staged experiments and themed photo areas. Guests finish an interactive drink by adding the final ingredients to a formula presented by the event’s mad scientists.
The 90-minute window gives you time for the included drink and the themed setup. It is not an unlimited-cocktail package, and mini golf at Puttery is not listed as part of admission.

One interactive cocktail
General admission includes one themed drink. Bucket Listers says a mocktail is available, but guests who need the nonalcoholic option should confirm it with staff.
Photo sets and experiments
The experience is built around staged laboratory scenes, themed glassware and hands-on finishing touches for the included drink.
Optional tarot readings
Private tarot readings are offered for an added on-site charge. The organizer has not posted a price.
More drinks cost extra
Additional interactive cocktails are available for purchase and are separate from the general-admission ticket.

Frankenstein’s Cocktail Lab DC dates and times
The live 2026 ticket calendar lists the regular experience on these dates:
Select Wednesdays through Sundays
September: 24–27 and 30.
October: 1–4, 7–11, 14–18, 21–25 and 28–30.
Each regular date currently shows five 90-minute reservation windows: 6–7:30 p.m., 6:45–8:15 p.m., 7:45–9:15 p.m., 8:30–10 p.m. and 9:30–11 p.m.
October 31 is listed separately as the Monster Mash Halloween Party. Ticket inventory can change, so check the selected date on the official Bucket Listers calendar before making plans.
How much are tickets?
General admission starts at $20 per person before required checkout fees. When DC Spot checked the September 24 reservation at 6 p.m. on August 26, the live selector displayed a $20 ticket plus a $2.50 mandatory fee, for a $22.50 checkout total.
The landing page and live selector do not display the price the same way, so use the total shown for your chosen date and time. Bucket Listers also says a 20% service gratuity will be added to the final on-site bill. That is separate from the ticket checkout total. All sales are final unless the ticket page states otherwise.
What is the Monster Mash Halloween Party?
The October 31 finale is advertised as a four-hour party from 7 to 11 p.m. Bucket Listers lists a price of $27.88 per person including fees, one interactive cocktail and a costume contest.
The live calendar marked October 31 as available when checked, but it did not show a selectable party time or ticket tier. Treat the Halloween-night inventory as pending until the checkout option appears.
Getting to Puttery in Penn Quarter
Puttery is at 800 F Street NW, across from the National Portrait Gallery and near Capital One Arena. For Metro, take the Red, Green or Yellow Line to Gallery Place–Chinatown and use the Arena exit.
If you drive, Puttery lists the Atlantic Parking garage at 560 8th Street NW as the closest garage. It is operated by a third party, rates vary, and Puttery does not validate parking. Check the Capital One Arena calendar before driving because nearby garages can fill quickly on busy nights.
Is the experience accessible?
Puttery says ADA elevators provide step-free access into the venue and to the Upper F Street Bar where the pop-up is listed. The experience is indoors.
Bucket Listers does not publish a detailed accessibility guide for the cocktail lab itself. Guests who need a particular seating arrangement or help with the interactive portion should contact the organizer before buying tickets.
Who is this best for?
The format fits a Halloween date night or an adult group outing more than a traditional cocktail class. You are buying a themed 90-minute reservation with one included drink, not a bartending lesson or an unlimited package.
The event is 21+ even during hours when Puttery normally allows younger guests. Bring a valid photo ID.
