Habibi House Cafe, a Middle Eastern coffee shop at 3400-B Washington Drive in Falls Church, holds its grand opening Saturday, August 29, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The first 100 people get a free drink, the next 100 get a tote bag, and drinks are 25% off all day.
The cafe is not opening cold. It opened this week on soft-opening hours, and DC Spot photographed a full room within days. Saturday is the formal launch rather than the first day anyone can walk in.
Habibi House Cafe Falls Church: Quick facts
What happens Saturday
The cafe published the details on its own Instagram: doors at 10 a.m., close at 8 p.m., a free drink for the first 100 people through them, a free tote bag for the next 100, and 25% off drinks for everyone all day.
Two hundred giveaways is a small number for a Saturday in Bailey’s Crossroads. If the tote is the reason you are going, go early.
The account has been building to this since July with “coming summer 2026” posts and a barista job listing. The flyer letters “Habibi, welcome home” across a mirror, and the posts sign off with البيت بيتك, roughly “our house is your house.”
You do not have to wait for the party
The Instagram bio has read “Soft Opening Hours: 10AM–8PM” for weeks, and the room was busy when we stopped in on August 23. Orders were coming off the counter, the tables were taken, and there was a line at the register.
That matters if you dislike opening-day crowds. The menu Saturday is the menu now, minus the discount.
What is on the counter
The cafe has not published a menu, so here is what we saw rather than what it is called. Drinks came out iced and layered, several finished with a thick cap of ground pistachio, one bright green matcha, one shaken and topped with cinnamon, one orange and slushy.
The pastry case is doing real work too. There was a cheesecake slice under chocolate, a second cheesecake built on a pistachio and rose-coloured base, a spoonable tiramisu served in its own foil tin, and a croissant crusted in black and white seeds.

Prices were not posted publicly at the time of writing, and no ordering site is live. Expect to order at the counter.
The room is built to be sat in
This is not a grab-and-go counter with two stools. The space runs deep, with arched plaster alcoves down one wall, rattan pendants the length of the ceiling, green leather banquettes, and long communal tables in oak with cane chairs pulled up to them.
A quieter corner at the back has low armchairs and side tables under three framed Arabic calligraphy prints. It is the part of the room that reads like a living room, and it is the part that will fill up with laptops.

Where it is, and what the address really means
The cafe sits in The Shops at Bailey’s Crossroads, a small 2018 retail strip of roughly 10,600 square feet off Washington Drive. The operator’s posts list the address as 3400 Washington Dr; the suite letter on the door is B.
Worth knowing if you are following a map: a 22041 Falls Church address is a mailing address. This is unincorporated Fairfax County near Bailey’s Crossroads and Seven Corners, not the City of Falls Church, and it is a short hop off Route 50.
Parking is a surface lot directly in front of the door. Your neighbours in the same strip are Jerusalem Restaurant & Catering and the Ethiopian kitchen Yeshi Kitfo at 3400-D, which makes the block an easy dinner-then-dessert pairing.
The suite has coffee history. Yelp lists Shaghf Cafe at 3400 B Washington Dr and marks it closed as of July 2026. Habibi House has not commented on the changeover, so treat that as the address’s past rather than an announcement.

Hours
10 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. The Google listing went up while we were reporting this and matches the soft-opening hours the cafe had been posting on Instagram, so the same window applies Saturday. The phone number on the listing is (703) 499-4860.
These are new-business hours on a shop that has been open a matter of weeks, so they can still move once the grand-opening rush passes. An 8 p.m. close is early for a cafe people plan to sit and work in, and it is the detail most likely to change first.
If you are planning the rest of the weekend around it, our Northern Virginia weekly guide covers what else is on. For nearby coffee, Shotted opened a drive-thru in West Falls Church, and Dok Khao Thai is due in Falls Church this fall.

Last updated August 28, 2026. Address, hours and phone were checked against the Google Business listing; the grand opening date and giveaways come from the cafe’s own Instagram. Corrected the same day at the owner’s request: the cafe opened this week rather than several weeks ago, and the first-100 giveaway is a drink. Photographs are DC Spot’s, shot August 23.
